You have to start with the FACT that we are always in a Lose/Lose position in these Muslim countries. Stuff that happened 50 years ago is like yesterday and stuff that happened a 1,000 years ago is like last month. They think the Obama Administration is supporting Morsi & the Muslim Brotherhood because any fool should have known they would win the elections and take over the country ..... and yet .... the USA said that would not happen, the MB said they would not even put a candidate up for President and our Director of National Intelligence claimed that the Muslim Brotherhood was a "secular organization". Hillary Clinton and Obama feted Morsi, praised him and never spoke up when he took power and started replacing the Military Leaders, the Courts & took the Legislative powers for himself. They never argued when he started arresting Journalists, they paid the ransom that Morsi demanded for Ray Lahood's son and the other NGO folks (Morsi called it Bail, but everyone understood it was ransom to get them out of Egypt) .... the final kicker was that the US Congress voted to without funds from Egypt for these transgressions and Obama overrode that.

As for Syria ..... it's a matter of "watch what he does, and not what he says". The Red Line business was a debacle - the "Red Line" in these Mid-East & MENA countries is not "dotted". It means there will be repercussions - serious and fast. John Kerry and Hillary Clinton both called Bashar al-Assad a "Reformer" the very week he started killing his people ..... over 100,000 dead now. Bashar al-Assad claims the "rebels" are outside Terrorists, he claims that only he can bring Syria to order .... people think that the Administration and State Department believe him. It's mostly the total inaction.

Understand ..... I'm not in favor of us doing anything in Syria. It's too late - Bashar al-Assad is a bully, but he is also a coward ... Israel has bombed two areas in Syria in the last 6 months with total silence from al-Assad. Israel will continue to do that if they cross the Israeli "Red Line" .... so al-Assad pays attention. We deployed to Libya with the threat of aircraft against the town of Benghazi - al-Assad has been bombing cities and people by air for a year with total silence from the USA.

It's just not enough to issue platitudes like "stop doing that" or "he must step down now". I'm not saying everyone believes this stuff, but a lot of them do ..... they were holding anti-Obama signs last night in Egypt.
You seem to have some idea what's going on in Egypt, but you are clueless about Syria. You're buying into the western media propoganda 100%. What started out as a small protest was infiltratd by foreigners that were killing people and blaming the Assad military. That card has been played over and over again. Assad is supported by the majority of his people. We are funding, training, and arming this destabilization, while pretending to be staying out of it. McCain, and fellow war mongerers want us to do to Syria what we did to Libya. This is a geo-political game towards taking control of the middle east, and Eurasia, global domination.
Israel has incited war with Syria, by bombing them twice. Assad has not responded. Israel is in violation of international law. Syria is not threatening Israel.

There is little doubt that one can make a connection to the Muslim Brotherhood supporters and those who are part of the Tea Party. Both groups like strong central authority ruled by those adhering to religious dogma. Whenever events like this play out in other countries, you know how such protests would similarly line up if taking place in the U.S.

Actually, Assad is not supported by the majority, he is supported by the Muslim sect that he is a part of, and he also has Shia support now that Hezbollah has entered the fray. I believe the majority in Syria are Sunni, so Assad only has minority support. This rebellion is homegrown against Assad, and your propensity for conspiracy has made you believe this a U.S. engineered plot, but it isn't, and for one thing, the rebels are not there to do our bidding, nor were they given instruction by the CIA.

Until now.

Assad's own wife is Sunni. As are most troops in the Syrian Army. Assad would not last without sizeable Sunni support. It's not just Syrian Christians and Alawites backing him. The guy did a lot for Syria which explains his strong backing.

Assad is relying on Alawite support throughout the military, and outside Shia support from Hezbollah to augment those Sunni forces which have fled and formed the Free Syrian Army.

I don't know the extent of Sunni support, but it must be dwindling, especially if Hezbollah has noisily declared its support of Assad.

bs, there is nothing homegrown about it. The CIA are leading this effort to unseat a president of a sovereign nation, via proxy "rebels" that come from various other countries. What the hell are they supposed to be rebelling against?
Christians have been protected minorities under the Assad government. You are unleashing a holocaust on the innocent people of Syria and their President. Shame on you for supporting this.

Oh come on now...what a retarded comparison. Now you're being glib to the point of ridiculousness. If your statement was true how come Obama supports the Muslim Brotherhood but not the Tea Party? The last thing the Tea Party wants is a strong central authority...they just want government to leave them alone.

Pamela Geller VS Michael Ghouse Smack Down Debate on Egypt-Morsi Situation on Hannity! - YouTube

I only post this, because it provides up to date info on what is going on, not because I'm a fan of Geller, which I am not. I do wish they would have allowed Ghouse to speak, but they cut him off. imo Geller paints all muslims with a broad brush, she is too Islamaphobe and defensive of Israel for my taste.

Morsi says he aint backing down. I wonder if his buddies are back home from the attacks on benghazi. They may be needed for some more action here soon. Marines are on standby however for our embassy in Egypt. Wonder if Obama has NATO locked and loaded in case Morsi needs some strafing on tahir square here soon??
