Wrong. That's not the law nor what the criminal rules of evidence say.

Btw, where did you get your law degree, and how many years have you been working as a Circuit Court Judge in Florida?

What hypocrisy. A teen was profiled due to his being black and you are in an uproar because he called a guy tailing him a cracker. Sorry, this is a sorry azz excuse for your outrage.

Has that been introduced as evidence? I thought TM's parents said that race had nothing to do with this case.

Many of you that are argueing that Martin was an innocent teen, would be appauled by the same behaviour he displayed on that night if it were your son. Or at least you should be. Maybe that is the reason we are having all the teen shootings today. Parents don't want to accept responsibility and raise their children.

You can't have it both ways. An experienced cop investigated the shooting, right after it occurred no less and determined (as testified to) that he believed G.Z. was telling the truth about what happened.

So, you and others constantly state that G.Z. should have left all this up to the police but when it comes back different than what YOU want to believe it's all of a sudden wrong?

That detective would have ended the whole thing had it not been for the race issue that's being milked for all it's worth by race who*es (media et al).
I wonder about the conflict posed by Serino's testimony, and what actually happened when charges were recommended.

Quote:
They reveal that Serino and his supervisors, made several changes but only two major ones.

The first was the change in the charges.

The second was a strongly-worded paragraph condemning Zimmerman's actions, pointing out that there was no need for a confrontation with Trayvon.

"The encounter between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin was ultimately avoidable by Zimmerman if Zimmerman had remained in his vehicle and awaited the arrival of law enforcement or conversely if he had identified himself to Martin as a concerned citizen and initiated dialog (sic) in an effort to dispel each party's concern. There is no indication that Trayvon Martin was involved in any criminal activity at the time of the encounter."

In that same new paragraph, added in the third of the five drafts released Tuesday and left in each version thereafter, Serino and his bosses faulted Zimmerman for assuming that Trayvon was about to break into a home.

"Zimmerman … made it clear that he had already reached a faulty conclusion as to Martin's purpose for being in the neighborhood," the revised report says.

Ultimately, the revisions made no difference. A special prosecutor took over the case and had 29-year-old Zimmerman arrested on a charge of second-degree murder.

No, that's not what the law or the criminal rules of evidence say. You may teach CC weapons classes, but this part of the law is apparently not considered something important to know just because you're carrying a concealed weapon. A person's reputation in the community and character is a whole other "can of worms." There are lots of laws and rules of evidence which pertain to that subject regarding WHEN and under what circumstances reputation/character can be brought before the jury. Zimmerman's taped call to the NEN was just like he got up on the stand and was testifying. NOBODY on the prosecution side has brought up Martin's reputation/character, even those the Defense has come close in trying to bring it up in cross examination. In fact, some testimony which O'Mara elicited from Serino was struck from the record and the Jury was instruction to disregard it because he was getting too close to "reputation/character" and the Court had ruled prior to trial that that would NOT be allowed based on the law and rules of evidence.

I think it must be those very classes that has caused soooooo much confusion out there in the real world about the law. Seems everybody thinks the law is limited to those simple things taught in those classes.

Why did Trayvon's family say that race had nothing to do with this case?

If black teens are committing most of the burglaries in the neighborhood would you profile old white women instead?
