I was celebrating Canada Day in Ottawa yesterday with a gentleman friend who was talking to a Texas journalist.

You are mistaken, liberty and independence would make me happy. Unfortunately we have neither in this country. Independence Day has become a meaningless tradition, a complete farce.

That is the problem with the US today, you celebrate fascism and utter dependance on government and have the audacity to claim it is "liberty and independence."
