lol, The Amish make (and sell) salsa.

They've been here for over 200 years so please don't deny they're American. For pity's sake. Everyone knows your feelings about undocumented Mexicans but trying to deny that salsa is widespread and enjoyed by mainstream America is just silly.

Not spinning anything. IT IS MAINSTREAM if it is the number one selling condiment.

Your like my kids with their hands in the cookie jar. LOL

Why are you in the cookie jar? What cookie jar dad?

Sorry the world is changing for ya. Maybe your just using the wrong defintion for what your trying to convey. I suggest you look up the term mainstream.

Salsa may not have its origins in "mainstream America" but its popularity in mainstream America cannot be denied.

Today Salsa is as American as apple pie.

Mainstream California, Mainstream Texas, Mainstream Arizona, Mainstream New Mexico (the first two being the two most populated states in the USA) ARE MAINSTREAM AMERICA! In the same manner, so is mainstream Vermont, Ohio, North Dakota. I think some people's view of what is mainstream is far too narrow and not in touch with all of the USA.

If I am not mistaken this is not the first time...

California was acquired by the United States under the terms of the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo following the defeat of Mexico in the Mexican–American War.

Popular is one thing. Mainstream is quite another. It's only prevelant in the southwest not the northeast and many other areas. No, salsa is a minority cultural thing not mainstream. Let's keep beating this dead horse to death though, shall we?

You just don't get it, salsa is not a minority cultural thing and it hasn't been for decades.

So again, what's your version of mainstream America at this point?

Country music and nothing to eat but steak and potatoes? (And I love steak and potatoes, but all the same...)

Except that those steak and potatoes these days will often a bottle of Cholula hot sauce on the side.
