I would encourage everyone to carry a camera with them at all times and record any interaction they have with police. Not a cell phone camera either, a real camcorder so that they know you're not just another lookie loo with a phone in his/her pocket.

When's the ACLU filing the suit?

Which for some reasons reminds me of the penalty of lying to a federal law enforcement officer:

1) They ask you a question investigating you.

2) You should take the 5th right there but you don't.

3) You answer the question.

4) You are cleared from the investigation.

5) They then alleged you lied in #3.

6) You go to jail.

Out of context you should go to jail. In context they shouldn't have asked the question (probably) and for sure you shouldn't have answered.

This is why the FBI uses two agents and doesn't record interviews. The first agent asks the questions and the second agent writes down his version of what he thought he heard. It's what the 2nd agent records is where you get screwed.

Aren't there still places in the UK that cops don't carry guns or did that go out on 9/11? How did the bobbies handle it?

Hmmm. From what I can tell Canadians know more about us than we do. Why else would the butt in?

And remember it's a Canadian that called police on that kid in TX because he lived near a school when in fact he didn't. Oh well better safe than sorry.
