Thanks- the supposed opposition want to paint those in disagreement as bad people that those who think for themselves are "bigots" - I do not wish to harm anyone--- nor do I want to see anyone oppressed...but please let people discriminate and have educated decisions based on the information they have gathered...Those of us on CD for the most part are good sensible people...all we seek whether left minded or right is moderation. Extremism stinks...there are always elements of insanity when we go to far in one direction....Why is it that the words of Martin Luther King are forgotten.....to judge the person by the character of the person - that everything is about the individual- that the individual is sacred...more so than the collective herd...

Right there says it all - The idea of the common good is BS...When the rights of ONE individual are trampled upon the whole collective is tainted..
These special interest lobby types who seek power by swelling their ranks into a kind of majority - who attack the individual are called one thing - Fascists.............What is bothering people about the gay rights movement is that it seems to have gone far enough...any more and they as we witness become a dominating force..............NO ONE WANTS TO BE CONTROLLED...Gays and Lesbians and their supporters will never achieve the numbers they want in order to gain social and political control...There will be blow back..
Just like all of us- be happy with what you have and settle in.
King also supported rights for gay people. No minority should have their rights abridged because of a majority, ever.

It is so super-wonderful that we have a guy like you here who can sit in judgment of everybody and everything and point to who is a "real" Christian and who is not, or what is a "true" church and what is not.
Without you being personally empowered and filled with more wisdom and insight than the mediocre rest of us, so many of us out here would be wandering lost in the darkness.

These people should turn the other cheek and push forward against this hate, just like chik-fil-a has done when theur stores were similarly vandalized by hateful people.
Same old rhetorical response. Why is that those on the progressive left assume that all those who do not like homosexuality- find it unpleasant - do not want to promote or support it - are all closet homosexuals? It's not about sexuality - It's animal instinct. Those who resist aggressive homosexual lobbyists and activists - are just like animals protecting their turf...their territory. It's natural...to ward of what might be strange and intrusive.
Well, I find the thought of two morbidly obese people coupling "unpleasant", but I would never dream of denying these people their rights or decrying their unions. Regardless of whether you find it unpleasant or not, they won't be copulating in your living room, so what business is it of yours?
I do see bigots giving this "unpleasantness" a whole lot of thought. An inordinate amount of thought. Some seen downright obsessed with it.
I wonder why that is......
There will be an unfortunate backlash. I suggest, out of genuine concern, that gays who have been outspoken for gay rights keep a low profile and back off now that your battle has been won. There are some really angry people out there.
I'm guessing the whole thing has been staged.

These are domestic terrorists. Just because they don't agree with a passed law does not give them the right to vandalize.
They need to get over themselves and understand there are others out there that do not have to agree with them and that is not a just basis for violent actions.
They need to use violence and fear to get their point across...sounds very familiar.
What sounds really familiar is a staged hate crime.
There is no rational, reasonable or scientific argument you can use to justify prejudice and discrimination against a community of your fellow citizens ... especially a community that has contributed so many positive things to society and has earned much support in many segments of society.
Once this group is attacked, put on your tinfoil hat, completely deny it, then cry conspiracy blaming that "da libs" did it to make the GOP look bad.
Once it's discovered the perpetrators were right wingers, keep on blaming "da libs" for it anyway.
