And for how long? (we know his penchant for leading from behind until he can figure out which way the wind blows and then taking credit for the result).

Of course he's on the wrong side. He's on the wrong side of everything he sticks his nose in. Started with the "beer summit" professor, and still he's getting it wrong at every step.
But he doesn't care. He'll continue to trudge along, according to his leftist/muslim agenda.
We shouldn't be supporting anyone in Egypt. It's none of our business. Had that idiot Flip-Flop Romney been elected, we'd be invading Egypt by now and getting mired in even more debt.

Obama is a malignant narcissist who can never admit to an error - he will side with Morsi to the end.
Obama made the error of pushing out Mubarak. Everyone knew that the Muslim Britherhood would win any democratically held election. So now they win, the economy tanks and there is a coup. Which I suspect Washington supports. If there is another election the Muslim Brotherhood would win. So the military will hold power indefinitely. Basically things appear to be moving full circle. This is why I say not every country is suitable for democracy.
Oh and if folks think the Muslim Brotherhood won't unleash a wave of terror or will quietly melt away after a coup think again.

It seems the administration is taking a fence position so far. The USA is still financing the Egyptian military!!!!! Your comment is ignorant and extreme and can be dismissed as a rant by someone who knows little or nothing.
He isn't. But many president would have a hard time calling for the over throw of democratically elected leadership in any country. To do so would mean that we do not support democratic elections determining leadership. Just as if the military becomes active involved in supporting one side against the other it means military rule over democratic elected government. It could very well mean civil war rather than electing leadership at ballot box.It isn't about legally removing the president form office its about mob rule forcing it even if he resigns. Streets over ruling the ballot box in reality.

Obama was willing to support throwing out a more or less secular dictator who had been our ally and supported stability in the region and threw his support behind an Islamist government in the name of freedom. Now the people, apparently backed by the military, are rebelling again against the very same Islamist government Obama supported.
He should have stayed on the sidelines in the first place.
