This is such a silly notion. I don't smoke weed at all (but I would like it legalized). I am an educated, working professional, and I hate weed - I smoked it a few times in college and thought it was a very overrated experience. However, I just abhor societal control...people should be free to do what they will - as long as it doesn't physically harm or cause property damage to me (or others).

After all, I find most Libertarians do support the Republicans at election time. Do you think its appropriate to view Libertarians more as a subset of the Republicans or do you believe they are distinct enough to stand alone as neither Republican or Democratic?
If you have to ask the question, you know nothing about libertairians.

What societies didn't have controls?

Name 3 majory societies that had no or limited controls;
Or, name 3 societies that are now or were "Libertarian".

Learn about society and the formation of government.

Seriously, you are asking loaded questions with no touch of insight on these things....

I'm a libertarian and do not vote for the democrats or republicans. Last time I didn't even vote for the libertarian candidate (Gary Johnson) because he was just a failed republican candidate that decided to use the libertarian party to run for President.

In local elections I vote third party or write in my own name if I have no choice.

What is loaded?

Why is so secretive about libertarianism? Im not asking about masonic lodge rituals, scientology or how to breed Unicorns...

Im asking a simple question.

That was a way lame come back..."Learn about society...and the formation of government". Give me a freaking break.

Answer the question or say...I DONT KNOW

What an utterly ignorant statement. Because Libertarians support the right to put whatever you want into your body (aka personal responsibility), we are a bunch of pot heads?

I can't name any, but I don't look towards historic (or traditional) societies to model this one on. I am a student of history, but I am always up for trying something new. I generally blindly following tradition arbitrary and unnecessary.

It's funny that on the Eve of the Fourth of July, when we as a nation celebrate freedom, we have so many who would say "well freedom has to have limits". Either you are a free nation or you are not. If you are gonna talk the talk....

Otherwise you are just saying "we are a nation of freedom except for (blank) and (blank) and (blank)"
