The ones who want to burn the Constitution don't proclaim themselves to be Constitutionalists. However, pretty much every libertarian has made suggestions on here that amounts to, "to save the Constitution, we have to secede from it" or, "I love everything about the Constitution, except the parts I don't like." Forgive me if I don't know what point you were trying to make

I actually prefer describing myself as a classical liberal. The only reason I must refer to myself as a libertarian is the socialists stole the term liberal.

In other words, hypocrites.

Most self proclaimed American libertarians are NOT libertarians.

So I'm not the only person to have noticed this.

A lot of liberals call themselves libertarians these days because they think they can wrap their left-wing agenda in the libertarian flag, but in reality what they advocate is excusing irresponsible behavior.

I'm a Constitutional conservative which is essentially the same thing as a libertarian.

We have in common the understanding that freedom and accountability are inseparable.

Then they had a civil war which means fight for control of government.

Now they under Sharia Law though they claim a Constitutional Republic.

They are about as libertarian as North Korea.

How would you describe a classical liberal?

The point I was trying to make was...your point couldn't be more WRONG.

It's easy to "pick apart" a Libertarian only when you have an arbitrary document like the Constitution...even then thats verrry subjective...because then all you are doing is pitting interpretations against each other.

But if you feel you can pick apart a Non-Constitutionalist Libertarian....take a swing.

I guess I have never met the liberals you are talking about because typically the libertarians I meet are all right-wing and call themselves Libertarians because they don't want to admit they vote Republican.

What do people (mainly liberals) really have against libertarians or anyone who isn't a Democrat or Republican?
Just a bunch of paranoid conspiracy theorist college kids.
They would get laughed out of the White House if they ever won an election

The main problem with libertarians is their stance on immigration. Libertarian ideology calls for free movement of people, basically open borders. Most people realize this is unworkable.

A Libertarian who votes Republican is not a Libertarian

Unless it was a guy like Gary Johnson or Ron Paul...and then it's Quasi-Libertarian

Ron Paul, while a minarchist, is still a statist.
