Asking Anti-Abortion Demonstrators an Important Question - YouTube

Watching this video made me wonder. For those who feel abortion should be illegal, what should the legal consequences be for a woman who has an abortion in your opinion? It's fine to support a pro-life position, but it would appear many have not thought through their positions past their emotional responses. If something is illegal, then there are consequences for committing the relevant act.

If the Law says Jail Time, then it will be jail time. and so on....but some kind of punishment should be handed down regardless..

If it was me I would have order her Uterus be taken out. Having babies is serious business. so therfore serious consequences follow.

I would go a step further and make it mandatory in schools to teach Personal Responsibility classes on Sex and Thinking. they go hand and hand.

The only way to curb reckless behavior when people won't do it themselves is to force a Big Brother plan on em to get their butts in line. Nobody rides for Free.

And if they got problems with too much Big Borther in their lives, then ManUp/WomanUp and take Personal Responsibility so the Government won't have to stick their greedy paws into your lives.

And those are your rights. the right to get off your keester and be accountable for your actions.. period.

.
Sooooo..... what happens to the man who impregnates the woman? Does he get his penis cut off?

There are going to be a LOT of celibate men in your little world. (Where civil and human rights don't exist.)

If that's the case, then the man who made her pregnant should also suffer the consequences, like being castrated.

they already do. You still don't know what Personal responsibility is (hint: to reduce risk and fix mistakes when they happen).

this is a sticky question, as depending on the answer, and who reads it, it is always wrong. personally i think abortions should be limited to saving the life of the mother, or in the case of incest or rape. everything after that is just birth control. what punishment should there be? first for the doctors performing illegal abortions, they should start by losing their medical license, after that a growing fine amount, and jail time.

as for the woman getting the illegal abortion, for a first offense should be mandatory education and counselling, after that comes fines and ultimately jail time. fortunately most women who do have abortions only have one. we have to stop cheapening life in this country, there are many people who are childless who want to have children, let them adopt if they pass government guidlines.
