Oh good, with King Obama, guess you don't need to worry yourself with voting in 2016.

No. he cannot break it. but he just did. so the question is, what are we, the people, gonna do about it.

I say impeach his reckless ass today.

He knows that Obamacare is gonna wreck the healthcare system.

The President (or his subordinates) can rewrite a law if the law in question says he can. I'm not going to comb through the text to find out if this one does. If it doesn't, I expect it will be litigated. No coronation required.

Can Obama break his own law?

This part of the law was supposed to take effect in January of 2014.

Discuss.

When did this part of the law become effective ?

How does one get that out of the word "litigated"?

Honestly, do you think the Dems in Congress are going to demand that the employer mandate stay on track for 1/2014 ?

The Washington Post is dismissing this action as "no big deal".

I thought it was a big deal that everyone had health insurance.
I thought it was a major point that employers would be forced to either provide insurance or pay a penalty.

But now, it's no big deal.

Does Obama have the legal authority to delay the mandate? The Affordable Care Act is quite clear as to the effective date of the employer mandate. “The amendments made by this section shall apply to months beginning after December 31, 2013,” concludes Section 1513.

"only a legal framework." This looks pretty specific to me, "shall apply", and NOT just a "framework"

And Congress kept tabs by asking the various agencies if they would be ready.
They all said they would be ready.

Then the Treasury pulls this one late on 7/3 when few are paying attention.

Perhaps you should look into what the order does.
