Quite the change from a man who just a very years ago unleashed this public statement:
"You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people. I am homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States."
He's also become a major funder of the Trevor Project - a suicide prevention network for gay youth. Here's to hoping he's simply the first signed supporter of a successful effort.
He is probably being black mailed by the gay community.

He seems genuine. Some people really do have a change of heart and thier eyes opened.
I have to admit, I was very skeptical when I first heard about his change of heart. I mean, saying that an entire group of people shouldn't exist in the world is one of the most hateful statements a person can make. So I basically said, "yeah, right" when I first heard about this. The only thing that made me think his change might really be genuine is the fact that he spent time at a LGBT youth suicide prevention organization. I'm sure there he was exposed to the horrible pain that many gay youth go through, how difficult it is for them to accept themselves, and how many of them seriously contemplate taking their own lives because of the way gay people are treated. Nobody would willingly go through that kind of hell if they didn't have to. So hopefully that experience was very eye opening for him, and was the impetus for a true change of heart
