B) She railed that she didn't have the money to fix it.
Then she can't afford to own a car.

Irony is that with all the ALEC/Koch Brothers, Right to Work initiatives and laws that are being abused at a huge cost to the working class and poor, conservatives(the usual anti-environment ppl) play some part in a lot of poor people not having money to fix stuff at the end of the month or not having alternative transportation to their jobs.
If you are a conservative and also approve of green initiatives, obviously you are not part of that problem

Gee, it's too bad this lady didn't have better access to public transit. She could have used that while saving up to fix her car. (and then, maybe she would discover she didn't need to use her car as often, if at all?) But we know how conservatives feel about public-transit...

Public transit is fine.. As long as it pays for itself and I don't have to use it..

Unfortunately, roads don't pay for themselves, and many people have to use them because public transit is so bad--or non-existent--throughout most of the US.

I am well aware that roads don't pay for themselves.... I pay mileage tax for every mile I drive in every state that I drive in.. I pay fuel tax for every gallon of diesel that I purchase, and I pay heavy vehicle road use tax to the fed.... I am well aware what pays for the roads you drive on..

Unfortunately, user fees still don't cover the whole cost of roads. So, even though I don't drive, I'm still paying for roads. (In Ohio, user fees only cover 60% of the cost of roads. http://www.policymattersohio.org/wp-...ys_2011920.pdf)
