apples and oranges comparison and you know it. we are not talking about the civil rights movement, we are talking about guns and where they are manufactured. the states in which they are manufactured may be blue today, but they were not blue back when the companies were founded. you fail.

thats true. understand that the receiver is is what makes the firearm operate. without it the barrel is but a bit of rebar, and the stock is but a boat paddle or a club. also note that the receiver is where the serial number is stamped.

The better question, me thinks, is why would a company that has been located in a state for 200+ years be considering leaving that state and relocating to another? That is the troubling query.

That would be a better question for someone incapable of doing even the most basic research and reading. They've been very upfront about this.

I worked for a company once that was being bought out in a "hostile" takeover... Management came to us and told us not to sell our stock because we were going to fight it tooth and nail.. Come to find out, management had already sold their stock to the "hostile" bidder and was welcoming them with the red carpet... If a company tells you they are or are not going to do something, you can almost bet they are going to do just the opposite of what they told you. It's in THEIR interest to not let you know until it's too late...

Yes, it should be a rhetorical question, but that doesn't mean it is. I'm sure when unemployment climbs in states that are unfriendly to business, there will still be those who are shocked and dismayed.

It looks like this is the excuse the right wingers are running with.

Companies pack up and move all the time. For a company to stay over 100 years in a democratic state really says something

Olympic: Washington State
Armalite: Illinois
Charter: Connecticut
Sig Sauer US: New Hampshire
Kahr Arms: New York
Savage: Massachusetts
Kimber: New York
Magnum Research: Minnesota
Ruger: Connecticut

This is quite funny that the gun nutters, whom also are mainly right wingers are supporting companies, especially from their freakout buying earlier in this year that bankrolled the democratic states where there companies are based.

If democratic states are so bad for business which the far right often claims, why are virtually all gun manufactures based in them? This seems like quite a slap in the face for the right wingers that think nothing says "Merica'" like owning a gun and voting GOP
You are aware my of these Companies are 'Going Galt" and leave for the Free States, right?
