Unless you can prove that he was, it doesn't matter. What was he going to use to break-in, the Skittles or the drink? You don't know if Zimmerman is telling the truth or who confronted who, but have no problem with believing a known liar who has also been arrested?
Because there's no evidence of it. He had a legitimate reason to be at the complex. He went to the store. He bought snacks. He was on the phone, returning to his house. And then the Zimmerman incident began to unfold.
Even the defense conceded this. Also, written up several times in the police reports: Trayvon Martin was not engaged in any criminal activity.
Please ... Where I live it's fairly safe. We do have a neighborhood watch and citizen patrol, but they don't go around following people with loaded guns. Let's not pretend that Trayvon Martin was in the process of committing a crime when Zimmerman started following him with his locked and loaded gun.
I don't think that a guy about to walk because the state has not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that He did not act in self defense, will be making a plea deal. The defense could not have asked for things to have gone better for them in this trial.
Ps.....you need to read up un the law to see what constitutes self defense here in Florida.
Do you have a mic in the jury room? Btw, Judge Nelson is not happy with the Defense; it seems the animator may have violated jury sequestration by contacting John Good. This is interesting.

Ah, but you didn't say "engaged". Maybe you don't understand but people who break into houses sometimes scope things out with the intent of breaking in later.
I'm just saying you don't have any idea what he was doing or planning to do.

Until he committed assault. If there was no gun shot, who would police have arrested when they got there?
Will there be a riot if the verdict is not-guilty?
I would never underestimate the black community's ability and willingness to embarrass itself (such as by being on the wrong side of this case and the Duke LaCrosse Rape Hoax case and having mayors like Marion Berry and Kwame Kilpatrick) and to injure itself (riots). I can't say for certain that there will be riots, but I would not be all surprised.
