I think the gun might have come out of the holster to shot him. I understand what you have said but try to look at the facts and not what you wish would of happened.

I don't believe Zimmerman approached him at all, according to the testimony. Let alone, in a hostile fashion.

And yes, you CAN just let people follow you around. I've done it myself - we had reports of a man going door to door, and pushing their way into the house and robbing the residents. I saw a man going door to door, and followed him around. He finally got nervous, got into his car and drove away.

Sure you can. Just cause someone is following you doesn't mean they intend ill will towards you. In our society you can't defend yourself and attack someone else just because you think they are going to do you harm. Peremptory physical attacks aren't allowed.
