Understood. Too bad it seems to not apply to those who also state "no white's allowed" also.
Granted you have not addressed, ignored or tried to dismiss that point yet.
I don't see the "no Whites allowed" as a freedom of speech issue. Saying something, and then acting on it are different. Granted, I do believe that thoughts can lead to words, and words can lead to deeds. The "no Whites allowed" is a discrimination issue. Saying something is a freedom of speech thing. Acting on what you say is a different story.
The civil rights act doesn't represent the best interests of everyone, that's why it's crumbling now. The rights of everyone are far more important than the special rights given to just a few who feel they are owed something in return for something they never had to endure.
The Civil Rights Act was in response to people having their rights walked all over and abused by the governments. The rights of everyone have never been respected at any time in history. What the Civil Rights Act says is that one cannot be discriminated against based on race.
It's ok to be suspicious of the president's associates. President Obama's associates were vetted in detail by the media thoroughly.
What media would that be? Obama was asked about Ayers once, "George, he's just some guy who lives in my neighborhood" and then it was dropped. The media did not vet Obama, conservative bloggers, talk radio and Hannity did.
Ron Paul wants and Rand Paul wanted to repeal Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - they actually support the rest of the act and the other civil rights acts that were passed. Racial discrimination by government is stupid and it is an affront to equality under the law. Title II mandates who businesses serve and in what manner, which is not the proper domain of government. That is the proper domain of the people themselves.
This accusation of racism makes about as much sense as accusing someone of being pro-starvation because they don't want government to force people to buy groceries.
I agree with that. The funny thing about discrimination laws relating to private businesses is that the principle that justifies it is the same one that justified Jim Crow - namely, that the government may dictate who businesses serve. Popular action with shaming, boycotts, and the changing of social norms provides a more secure foundation for anti-racism, because it is decentralized and independent of the whims of government laws. Of course, since racism is almost taboo now, the question is effectively moot. The vast majority of business owners would not discriminate based on race even if Title II was repealed tomorrow.
What messages? That every person is entitled to freedom bound only by the equal rights of others? Yeah, that really should turn the stomachs of blacks - after all, it's only a coincidence that all the oppressions against blacks were also an affront to the values held by libertarians in general and the Pauls in particular .
Is that supposed to be a 47% joke? In any case, out of the people eligible to vote in the last general election 58% did vote.
1. Obama will be President for the next 3 years, so his character is still relevant.
2. The point is that if Obama is not guilty by association, why should Rand Paul be? Just because he's a Republican?
Rand Paul was not a candidate in 2012.
Yep, just like Obama is #1 with socialists, except for the fact that socialists generally hate him. From what I've seen from actual white supremacists they don't like Rand Paul any more than any other Senator.

“I can remember being one of a small group of people who came to Bill Ayers’ house to learn that Alice Palmer was stepping down from the senate and running for Congress,” said Dr. Quentin Young, a prominent Chicago physician and advocate for single-payer health care, of the informal gathering at the home of Ayers and his wife, Dohrn. “[Palmer] identified [Obama] as her successor.”
So sorry chuckie, but I'm not the topic of this discussion, Rand Paul is. It's not required that someone else answer another person's questions on this forum, once you understand that, you'll be a contributor to the discussion, until then, you're just another internet tr*ll.

Typical leftist response....so sad, but a true leftist tactic....
Then I guess you need to go and delete all those off topic responses you have in this thread....
Funny, but when shown facts, you seems to scatter like roaches when the light is turned on....
