Agreed; I hate when people make it a race issue, I support those who contribute to us not suck down resources. If you intend on creating a company in the US, then by all means come and increase our tax-receipts, add jobs, and benefit our economy.

It calls into question the actions of Obama's admin in regards to immigration. The Obama admin is less than honest.

They were just misunderstood.

Well, the Nazi's are obsessively talked about for a variety of reasons. Mostly because of their policies on race, and eugenics.

I would like to argue that the Nazi's weren't actually wrong in an absolute sense(though there are some particulars that they just made up). But, the problem with the Nazi's was that, regardless of their relatively good intentions. The kind of system they created was inevitably evil in the long-run.

The two words that make up the Nazi name are really the culprit that ultimately led to the evil perpetuated by the Nazi's. And if you understand the words, you'll understand why both of those words are inherently evil. And those two words? Nationalist, socialist.

The problem with nationalism, is that while it sounds good on paper. You know, a nation of people all identifying with and being loyal to the nation. It is necessarily a closed nation. Where immigration to and from the country must be heavily limited. And educational institutions must be created to guarantee conformity and loyalty to the nations principles. Nationalism is sort of inherently tyrannical by itself. But nationalism will always end up creating tensions with its neighbors. Because nationalism must first impress an idea of superiority of the nation above other nations(in America we call it American exceptionalism). This nationalism usually causes a lot of protectionist economic and social policies, which can upset its neighbors. And since its rare for individuals of a given nationality to only exist within the confines of that nation. Nationalism tends to be expansionist. Many times just to protect itself from worried neighbors, who find the nationalist protectionist policies as hostile and combative.

As for socialism. We must recognize that socialism cannot work in an open immigration system. It can only work basically where there is nationalism. It is difficult to express social responsibility to everyone in the world. But you can convince people to have social responsibility to the nation itself. Thus, socialism and nationalism go hand-in-hand. Because you can't have socialism without nationalism.

Now, I don't necessarily consider Hitler evil. Because I don't think Hitler really wanted things to happen as they did. The main problem with Hitler, was that he was far too nationalistic, in a time where nationalism was an extremely powerful force. I think Hitler was trying to do what he believe had to be done to preserve Germany as a nation, and to help it regain its lost prestige. And really, Germany didn't start WWII. I mean, it sort of did, but not really. Chamberlain and Britain really started WWII, by handing a war guarantee to Poland, which was run by a military junta, as Hitler made intentions of taking back the free city of Danzig in Poland. Which was taken from Germany at the end of WWI, and was 95% German. Chamberlain was tired of letting Germany take more territory across Europe(it got Austria, and the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia), and was willing to go to war to stop Germany from taking back the territory it lost as a consequence of losing WWI(parts of Western Poland, along the Baltic sea). Of course, this is coming from Chamberlain, the prime minister of the British Empire. You know, the largest empire the world has ever known.

Where I think Hitler was wrong. Was that he created a system that was inevitably corrupt, and was heavily in opposition to freedom. It was your typical totalitarian dictatorship. Where the lives of the people were controlled and manipulated. It was basically the book/movie 1984.

Of course, while at one time I would have been in favor of banning almost all immigration. Now, I would argue that I would much rather have completely open immigration. I think it is the only way to preserve liberty. Nationalism/ethnocentrism is always going to be at odds with individual freedom. Because it impresses conformity and loyalty to the state, supposedly for the greater good. In my opinion, the more diversity we have in this country the better. Because it'll create so much hatred, that the government won't even be able to function, and will be forced to leave us alone.

This in 2013 and what happened in 1492 doesn't have a thing to do with our problems now. Too; American Indians had THEIR wars and other things with each other that'd make the Nazis laugh.

To the OP: I'd rather see immigration favoring people from English speaking countries like the UK, Philippines, Canada, Ireland, Nigeria and so on. Mexico can go to the end of the line since we've given them more than their share of spots in the US and I ain't talking about illegal aliens, just legal ones.

I seem to remember that the Nazi's used slave labor...You ok with slave labor?

Introduced labor laws? Didint the nazi's make it illegal for non-germans to legally work in Germany? Althoug it is hard to run your business when your burning in a oven.

Not to mention sytematically murdering 6 million Jews and 3 million gypsies, homosexuals, mentally disabled and political prisoners. But other than that little blip on the radar, it was all good.

Stormfront down, sparky?
