Lol, so if he can't afford to live there be shouldn't, but if granny cannot afford to live there we should pay more so she can.

Rent control is another transfer of money from the young to old. Thanks baby boomers.

The gripe that I have is that you really do not get much for your money for an apartment in NY. No great amenities unless you are paying top dollar in luxury buildings.

Florida, Texas, or Idaho? LMAO...leave NYC to live in Idaho?

This is econ 101. You don't know what you're talking about.

No it's not. It's nonsense.
No...it isn't nonsense.

That increase in supply would last 2 seconds before real estate would be right back where it was two seconds previously.

We're not talking about Ft Worth. We're talking about NYC where space to build is severely limited to begin with.

Yeah, it's interesting to me how only a certain group of people are entitled to this "affordable housing".

Rent control is a joke.

So you don't see any economic benefit to a city of having affordable housing for the millions of low skilled workers it needs to be viable?

So all of these people should become bridge and tunnel folks?

Zoning (supply control) is another transfer of money from the young to the old. Thanks parents of baby boomers.
