lawsuit if it is more efficient or in the state's best interests.

Kane argued in a separate statement that professional conduct rules make it an ethical obligation to withdraw from a case in which a lawyer has a fundamental disagreement with the client.

The Office of General Counsel, which is under the governor, is accustomed to handling the state's legal affairs and routinely hires outside lawyers to either defend state laws or prosecute lawsuits.

Geez people...this is common sense. If the Attorney General is an elected position in that state, the citizens should've elected a more conservative AG.
There are plenty of judges and prosecutors not all that pleased with U.S. drug laws nor with minimum sentencing rules but they enforce both anyways. If they think a person in a particular case should be given no more than 1 year they'll still sentence the person to 10 years if that's the minimum sentencing.

"In the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave" this coward Attorney General should be doing all in her might to stop the incarceration of tens of thousands of Americans. But that would not make her friends.

The concept of a "Living Document" was away to usurp the U.S. Constitution.

I never had a doubt in my mind the U.S. Supreme Court was going to favor the pro-gays. And its not just about pro-gays. The Supreme Court is going to rule in favor of whatever liberals go on jihad for. Do not be surprised if in the future the U.S. Supreme Court rules in favor of placing Satanic images inside U.S. court rooms.

"Enforce" != "Defend", for cripes' sake. It's 2 different concepts.

Maybe. But I think you're split hairs over the point. No one is tossing homosexuals in jails by the tens of thousands in the United States. They're doing that to drug addicts in "The land of the Free."

No, it's actually pretty important. Judges don't have discretion on what laws they enforce. The PA GA does have discretion to have the PA General Counsel defend laws.

It's based on civil rights law.
The AG believes that this law is wholly constitutional (direct quote).

No that makes no sense to waste taxpayer money on silly bigoted relics of the past. Aren't right wingers supposed to support small government? Oh wait, its something you personally find icky so of course not

What are the sentencing guidelines of the crimes you are referring to?

I measure freedom by more variables than whether one sits in jail or not.
