An end to cancer??
Imagine the possibilities of what this could potentially mean! A straight up cure for cancer would transfer those resources to other things like viruses, or heart disease...... http://www.nypost.com/p/news/nationa...BEkczPTFque7VM
I doubt it, the machine has been in place for decades. To many $billions to be lost.
If we cured Cancer tomorrow, the average US life expectancy would increase by less than two years. A cancer cure wouldn't put the tiniest dent in Big Pharma revenues or earnings.
Well, since the news has been published ... I'm not quite sure how Big Pharma can keep the cat in the bag at this point, so the OP question is a moot point.
And let's just ponder for a moment how this discovery came to be made.
By Big Pharma research. D'oh!!!!! Guess they went to a lot of trouble for an industry who you allege wants cancer to keep killing people.
Oh, for God's sake! Health professionals are constantly accused of either:
Withholding cures to keep people sick and make money
OR
Promoting worthless cures to healthy people to make money.
Gimme a break!
well said. this is why we need the FDA to get back to doing their jobs. perhaps there is a cure for cancer, but what are the side effects? it does no good to cure the disease if it kills the patient. how many drugs have been put on the market a few years ago, only to have them either pulled, or the manufacturers and doctors be sued because of severe side effects?
I note human testing of this drug will not start until next year. Cancer is more than one disease. We'll see.
