i know the charges, but cant figure out how jury could get him on manslaughter if the evidence cant show criminal negligence. certainly not listening to 911 operator is not a crime in any way shape or form. this is sounding more like "the jury has to get him on something", which is wrong.
Well at least on of the jurors disagrees with you. And right now, their opinion is 1000 times more important than yours.
I've served as a juror on a murder case, somewhat similar to this case, and the judge instructs you not to consider the punishment when deliberating.
This is why jurors are vetted.
But its in the back of your mind. You are human still. Even though you might not talk about it, you still know in your heart how you feel? I don;t think I could not think about it.
If I was on that jury I would not be able to live with myself if I went to bed at night and put somebody away for life. There would have to be overwhelming evidence to support a verdict of guilty.
I think a few on there are thinking with their hearts. Whatever you believe it's hard to argue Trayvon deserved to die. He wasn't mugging anyone or attacking anyone BEFORE Zimmerman came upon him. Even if you think as I suspect that Trayvon was casing homes to burglarize later that doesn't warrant a death sentence. He would be alive if Zimmerman acted responsibly. Trayvon could have done things differently too but Zimmerman was the adult.
I'm not in fear.... I always carry wherever I go, have for years. As a responsible CCW carrier, I try to avoid possible situations that lead to confrontation. That's why I won't be going downtown Sanford today.
the job of a security guard or LEO is to get very close to confrontation, its their job to.
what exactly do you do for a living?
coal workers, cooks, bank tellers, yeah, they dont try to get close to or need to get close to confrontational situations.

Then you shouldn't serve as a juror. Justice needs to be blind.
I struggled with the same thing, but I tried really hard to follow the judges instructions. I actually had trouble sleeping the night before the deliberation.
