Well if you have any teenage kids, just tell them that if they are followed in the dark by a stranger with a gun, don't do anything. Don't do anything to offend or scare the guy. I guess...let yourself be abducted, or mugged, or raped. Because if you attack first to prevent harm to yourself, the guy following you can kill you and get off with no charges. Remember to remind teenagers you know of that.
Tell them not to confront the creep following them in the dark. Tell them not to ask, "Why are you following me?" No punching. No shoving. Just tell them not to defend themselves.

Excuse me. Was Trayvon charged with anything in this case? Was he not in fact the victim? As in dead body.
You can't be elevated to adult status in the eyes of the law just because you're dead.
Lets say for a moment Zimmerman didnt have a gun. Or didnt shoot Martin. Guess who would be charged with assault? Martin. He assaulted Zimmerman, that is one of the few things we know that happened.
But it won't be believed if the person didnt have the ability to kill you or the intent to kill you... That is Florida law..... I teach Florida self defense laws in my classes.

The infamous "one drop rule" dictated that anyone would be considered Black if they had any African ancestry and was given legal saction in many states. One Drop Rule argues that, in practice, Blacks with more European features, lighter complexion and straighter hair, have been favored over those with a more African appearance. Interviewees testify that even today whites seem to feel more comfortable with and give preference to Blacks who more closely resemble themselves.
So, if Obama is black because people want to use the "one drop rule" then the same rule has to apply to Zimmerman, or, as I asked earlier, doesn't this rule apply equally to everyone?

Possibly, 17 year olds aren't allowed to carry guns in Florida.
