Let this be a less on all irresponsible and irrational gun owners ~ IF you shoot an unarmed minor - you will stand trial. You will spend $$$ on defense counsel; you WILL be paraded before the courts; you will sweat like a pig while others decide your fate; and you WILL be vilified by the American People and you will . . . wish for the rest of your life that you had kept your fat a@@ in that car.

I was responding to another poster.

My statement was in confirmation that things had been going on in this neighborhood and THAT is the reason why they HAD a initiated a Community Watch.

Do you really think a jury trial is just about the 'facts'? IF there were another person alive to testify, do you think that the 'facts' may change?

Trials are very much emotion based AND . . . which side can tell the better story. Which side has the better attorneys; which side has the best presentation. "Facts' can be twisted inside and out; up and down and made to look like whatever each side wants.

John Guy's record on murder cases, according to his own words was about 80 wins to 1 loss before this case was forced to go to trial by a mob seeking "justice". There was too much doubt over what happened in the final minute of TM's life and most of the evidence of what happened in that final minute supported the fact that Z was on his back, losing a fight, screaming for help in a voice that sounded like someone in great fear before the shot was fired to ever get a conviction.

Tried to rep you for this but couldn't. Your last sentence was Martin's "crime"--wearing a hoodie and walking through the neighborhood as it was getting dark. Zimmerman was on him, if he ran the police would have gotten him asking why he was running. There was no way Martin was going to win. I just wish he had called 911. He might still be alive.

I think the lesson to learn here is if you are a teenager, especially a black male, don't wear a hoodie and walk through a neighborhood after dark.

And that's a very sad lesson.

Saying something "you didn't like" can be an assault according to Florida Statutes 784.011.

Nope. Rachel said Trayvon told her that Porky was 'right behind me'.

Why do people pick and choose what parts of her testimony to believe?

I wasn't on the jury....they ruled justifiable use of force. It's only justifiable if a forcible felony is being committed upon him..... That's the law...not my words.
776.012 Use of force in defense of person.—A person is justified in using force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, a person is justified in the use of deadly force and does not have a duty to retreat if:
(1) He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony; or
(2) Under those circumstances permitted pursuant to s. 776.013.
History.—s. 13, ch. 74-383; s. 1188, ch. 97-102; s. 2, ch. 2005-27.

I'd bet money on this myself. The man is an aggressive idiot. He and Karma are not destined to get along well.

Or... you've be found not guilty and charge big bucks to go on talk shows or the lecture circuit.

Much like Bill Clinton.
