They've had quite a long history now inn which for us to observe.
Much of which has not been pretty and ends up favoring themselves over the good of the country as a whole.
Because we are not a democracy. the US is a representative democracy...we vote in representitives to propose, debate, and pass legislation.
If we were a democracy, SSM, Gun restrictions, Immigration reform, and Abortions would pass by a majority of the american voters.
In your own myopic vision of government, "we vote in Representatives", who are they supposed to represent? Obviously not those who voted them in. They apparently represent the whims of Obama and his fellow brown shirts.
So, in an actual vote on this subject, what do you suppose would happen? Especially now that more than 50% of the people appear to be against it?
