One thing that I just wanted to talk about is race relations in this country. There is a major issue with blacks and other races (specifically racism against whites) and it seems like we have tried to ignore this issues (as well as other facts, such as disproportionate numbers of blacks in the US and those in jail, average ACT scores, graduation rates, unfair acceptance into graduate schools when compared to whites and asians, etc.)

I think as a country, if we truly want to move forward, marching alongside black people every time they feel like they have been wronged is not the answer. I think the answer is identifying our problems and how to address them.

Why are most American ghettos filled with blacks? Why do blacks join gangs and commit an ungodly amount of violent crime, why are they struggling in schools? I think throwing money at teachers certainly doesnt help that one.

For all those who always answer "well whites are racist" or "whites do wrong too" or "asians are in gangs", thats true, but undeniably, blacks are a part of negative aspects of our society in far greater proportions.

I dont think marching for "Justice for Trayvon" is helping race relations, in fact, I think it hurts race relations. Instead of ignoring problems that the black community faces (and thus, the entire country faces), we should constantly remind and "attack" those issues.

You know, truly what would fix the issue in the black community? Take the kids from the parents who are having them at 16 and are single and have them adopted by a family where both parents have jobs, a strong family structure and who do not need welfare. I guarantee you, you do this in Chicago and murders fall by 90% easy.

How about this for a discussion on race: Why is the only selective admission criteria that Conservatives oppose, the one that benefits racial minorities? There's never a peep from Conservatives about selective admission for athletes, legacy students, fac brats, or donor-children.

Lol, what?

Selective admission for athletes?
Donor-children? With all of the millionaire blacks in the NFL and NBA, there could be tons of black donor-children but their parents need to donate to first.

Lets face it though, letting in underqualified black or hispanic students over whites and asians because of their skin is flat out racism.

Since it's obvious you don't understand the question, let me ask you an easier one. Why is there never a peep about the "AA" that White students get at the expense of Asian students w/ better grades?

Again, it seems that the only time Conservatives think that admission should be strictly merit-based is when it benefits racial minorities.

The problem here is, I'm not conservative. I get your question, but I think it's not really in context.

That is exactly what the "community organizers" want. More money. They don't really care much about the community they are organizing......well most anyway. They put on a good show but that is all it really is.

And the kidnapping rate would skyrocket, since that's what that would be. Got any other bright ideas?

Most of the argument regarding African Americans and crime statistics in the ghetto is like saying "Men rape each other because in prisons they do."
