It's not like he walked up to Martin and shot him in the back. He shot someone who was, clearly, beating him.
Exactly! And that, children, is where this case begins and ends.

The actions of Zimmerman leading up to the shooting are irrelevant. The physical evidence showed Martin attacked him in such a way any rational person would fear for their life. At that point, Zimmerman had the legal right to shoot Martin.

You may not like the law, Zimmerman's actions leading up to the shooting or the long history of shoddy race relations in America. However none of that makes any difference whatsoever when you look at the facts of this case in an objective manner.

It's not a civil rights violation. That's quite clear.

In your eyes then, it would be impossible for a prostitute to be raped.

Would that change the fact that he was getting severely pummeled and had the right to defend himself? Or were you thinking throw double jeopardy out the window and retry the earlier case?

In one respect, the “solidarity” of the black community in supporting their own felons is not surprising. Remember the Roman fasces? The bundle of sticks with an axe symbolized the strength of the many that overcame individual weakness, and the axe represented the power of that unity.

However, the black community and their allies are misusing that solidarity to commit injustice, and that will backfire on them. Those who use united force to engage in criminal behavior, and succor predators, will be forever tainted by that. Tolerance of predators is unmerciful to their next victim.

The victims also have long memories and will be compelled to unite in opposition to tyranny and injustice of the black faction.

Reference:
● Tyranny - Cruel and oppressive government or rule; A nation under such cruel and oppressive government. Absolute power, especially when exercised unjustly or cruelly.
● Injustice - Violation of another's rights or of what is right; lack of justice.
● Justice - The administering of deserved punishment or reward.
● Succor - To help or relieve in difficulty, need, or distress.

The media wanted it to be though.

Calling GZ a "white Hispanic" was absolutely the most egregious description I've heard on the TV.

Unbelievable.

Zimmerman was losing a fight that I believe the evidence shows that he started with his actions.

The only two witnesses we have to who "started" the physical altercation were Zimmerman, and Rachel Jeantel.

I believe Jeantel's testimony. She gave her story way before all the details and their significance ever became clear. She was not a legal scholar, nor did she even know the importance of her phone call in the beginning.

The first parts of her testimony match everything Zimmerman himself said, and the end of her phone call matches the time line of the altercation. Why is it that only the last part of her testimony, that Zimmerman came up behind Trayvon, and would not answer when Trayvon asked him , "why you following me for?", and then the bump, and the sound of the headset on the ground and a scuffle, is doubted?

Trayvon had a right to defend himself against an armed stalker who despite three opportunities to identify himself did not.

If they filed a Motion in Limine - that can't be the evidence that the defense claims was withheld. The Judge had to rule on the Motion.
