And yes I am a mixed Latino who does support Zimmerman and the verdict. From what I've researched onlne the only other minorities that do believe Z. is innocent are minority conservative Republicans. Now I know there has to be more outspoken supporters out there. The rapper Lupe Fiasco seems to be the only left leaning celebrity that has come out in support of the verdict. I'm curious how many others will be brave enough to stop this race baiting nonsense.

I'm really surprised that the NAACP and big name celebrities and preachers have come out against the verdict. I understand 700K people petitioned for this case to be reviewed on the Federal level. It's funny how quickly people can sign up against the verdict but those who are for the verdict are mysteriously hiding. Where are they? Is there a way to show america and the media that these morons can't continue to hijack this case. Has there been a census taken on what minorities think about this case? Is there a way to start one.

As Mark O'Mara stated this case has been politicized and racial tensions have been injected without evidence. It's sad that this is happening. Of all the cases to politicize they pick this one. Really!

I am a minority and my support for Zimmerman is irrelevant. And so is my support or lack of support for Martin. Zimmerman is innocent until proven guilty. It wasn't proven that he is guilty and so he's innocent.

[it is all very simple]

It is irrelevant and so should it be. That is the system we are working towards in which race, gender, orientation etc have no place in cases where it's irrelevant. Many are making this an issue though. My only reason is to show that others don't have this herd mentality. And because of how heated this has gotten I have chosen to making it relevant enough to post my opinion and question. For the most part I've stayed away from commenting on this case and was relieved that Zimmerman was found not guilty. But some aren't satisfied with the juries decision.
We are being pressured to acknowledge the opposite of evidence. The more we let this build up the way this case is polarized the more it becomes a racial issue. I would love for more minorities to come out and speak on their support of the verdict because it does have a social impact. It proves a point to the media and some self appointed leaders who should know better than to go on a witch hunt.

Are there civil rights issues, social economic problems that need to be addressed? Yes. This isn't the place to make these grievances. And it's so backward to ruin a man's (Zimmermans) life with no evidence.

George Zimmerman and Ben Jealous, he's the leader of the NAACP. Both dudes look to be the SAME skin color and Jealous looks even MORE "anglo white" than GZ. But Jealous toes the "Black" line; whatever the hell that is and GZ didn't.
