Rachel Jeantel has become a celebrity as of late, making the media rounds. She has said a few controversial things here or there. The latest, which would have been forced to get a lot of media play had she said it during the trial is that she believes that Trayvon hit Zimmerman first, because Zimmerman tried to detain him until the cops arrived.
If she is correct, does Zimmerman trying to detain Trayvon for the cops equal assault? Does citizen's arrest play in to this? Does Trayvon throwing the first punch make a difference?
Does this sway any minds or solidify any minds? She could be wrong.
A lot of people (including myself) said the same thing, but still believe Zimmerman is guilty. Trayvon Martin was not commuting anh crime, therefore Zimmerman has no right to make a citizens arrest. Trayvon Martin had the right to defend himself.
I love how Piers Morgan and company are looking to this clown to be the voice of our generation. No, what she says does not represent me, my peers, or frankly anyone I know.
This is the same woman who can hear the wet grass correct? lol
LOL! I really think you can determine that you hear grass, and she knew it was raining. It's just that it was clearly apparent that her testimony made a lot of assumptions on her part.
Rachel is just giving her opinion (just like so many others here) on how the fight started. Why is she dumb while your own opinions are smart and logical?

Which is much more believable than the juror who says she knew it was GZ yelling for help when the FBI couldn't determine who it was. I have two sons who play football, I know the sound of wet grass.

Because she testified under oath that her "OPINION" was fact.
Because she testified under oath that her "OPINION" was fact.
So did the friends and relatives who swore it was Georgie screaming for help.
At the trial Rachel stated facts - what she remembers saying, what she remembers Trayvon saying, what she she remembers hearing. She is now giving her opinion. (I'm using "remembers' because she wasn't interviewed until months later)
Because she testified under oath that her "OPINION" was fact.
And George Zimmerman's family did as well. So did anyone who said they believed George's story or testified about how many times he was hit. The only known facts are that George Zimmerman said that Trayvon Martin was up to no good, got out if his car to follow him, Trayvon Martin was on the phone with Rachel Jeantel up until a minute before his death, there was a physical altercation, George Zimmerman ended up with two boo boos and a swollen nose, before he ended Trayvon Martin's life with a bullet to the heart. Everything else ANYONE said is not a known fact.
