One cannot put a price on the security and sovereignty of our nation. Illegals cost us billions in tax dollars. You don't seem to be too concerned about that. Here we are spending billions on protecting other countries and yet we can't even protect our own borders. What a country!

No, the money we would save on covering the social costs of illegals aliens would more than cover the costs of a better fence. Not to mention the loss of jobs for Americans and all the other negatives of illegal immigration.

Remember the 15 mile border fence built in san Diego??? How much did that 15 miles of fence cost? do you remember?
It nearly put a stop to illegal immigration in that area also. So it was effective.

Exactly! The double-layered fence that congress approved under Bush never got funded or built. So what good does an unfinished one do?

Penn & Teller BS: Immigration pt 3/3 - YouTube

The video kicks in around 3:30. Beware, some adult language is used.
Ah, the race card! We knew it was coming. "Brown" people aka Mexicans enjoy the largest quotas for LEGAL immigration into our country by far......you were sayin about keeping them out? The objection is to illegal immigration not legal immigration. Learn to know the difference.

Um, the fence is to keep out illegals not legal immigrants. You don't know the difference between legal and illegal? We allow in over 1 million legal immigrants per year so where is this hostility that you speak of? It is just there are more "immigrants" that want to come here than we can accommodate in jobs and resources today. Our needs have changed from the past. We have 23 million Americans out of work and our country is broke and we have over 315 million people here already. Educate yourself on this subject please.

It is never right to reward illegal behavior, that's why. We did it back in 1986 and look what it did it just encouraged more to come. We don't need this people. They are poor, unskilled and uneducated with no respect for our laws or borders. We have 23 million Americans out of work with shortages of social and natural resources. You seem really ill-informed on this subject along with your misplaced compassion. We have quotas for legal immigration for good reasons. An amnesty just nullifies those reasons.

This is a right wing myth, only supported by right wing think tanks. Studies show that illegals have either a minor net cost or a minor net benefit.

They come here to better themselves and they do not compete with Americans for jobs, unless you are a high school drop out. This idea that illegals come here to rape, pillage, and wreck havoc on American society is also another right wing myth.

Someone is misinformed on this topic, but it not I.

You must have never gone to an emergency or class room in a border state.

Though many illegal immigrants are peacefull many are not. Many of the coyotes who bring people accross the border rape the women who they are leading accross the border, many times leaving them in the desert to die. Not to mention drug wars that are starting to spill over into border towns.
