I'd like to see hapless Republicans stop focusing on those blacks on the bottom, citing statistics which show the struggle for survivial in these segments, and do something, ANYTHING, to lessen the differences between us. Republicans don't want to have a conversation about race because of the utter worthlessness that their ideology has proven to be in this area. I think you better leave Holder alone. Blacks on the bottom may be killing each other, but what in the hell is the typical Republican's excuse for being so clueless about all issues involving race, civil rights, and equality? You Regressives are too small-minded to even recognize the contributions of the extraordinary number of brilliant, accomplished, educated, and talented blacks. You're far more of a detriment to this society than even the most ignorant black person since society gives you every consideration, yet you chose remain clueless.
Forget about trying to have a conversation with Holder. Get better informed, educate YOURSELVES, and join us in the 21st century.
"The precise data show that even though black men between the ages of 14 and 24 make up only 1% of the U.S. population, they represent 27% of all the nation's murderers. This bears repeating: 1% of Americans are committing over a quarter of the murders.
Equally alarming, the administration study also found that blacks of any age are eight times more likely to murder than whites.
While blacks make up just 13% of the population, they're responsible for more than half — 53% — of the country's murders. By comparison, "whites" (Justice includes Hispanics in its "white" category) account for 83% of the population but less than half — 45% — of homicides."

Why do liberals always demand that someone else do something? How about holding the people committing the murders accountable and demand that they do something rather than expecting someone else to do it for them?

One problem I see with your response is you are turning race into a political thing and it should not be.
Otherwise, you don't seem to want to have this conversation either, just like your pal Holder.
How do we deal with the root problems of the importation of guns and drugs into these communities? How do we begin to address generational poverty that exists in these communities? Any racial discussions going forward need to be solution based. No more tit for tat nonsense.
When does the conversation start? So far it is just half hearted lecturing by Holder in front of black fraternities, and Obama doing his tired " it could have been my son" schtick.

Obama just made a speech about how blacks feel due to past injustices, which is almost an excuse for their feelings and behavior. It is as if the POTUS has a racial chip on his shoulder, and it comes to light every so often (i.e. Gates arrest, and now the GZ vs TM incident).
He really makes me sick, and this was the straw that broke the camels back in my view.
