For real Americans who care, single payer is basically an insurance plan without the wealthy CEO and corporate death panels.
The public option is a plan which people have the "option" to join. It's called "competition" for the corporate system which, of course, corporate fascists want no part of because they know it would be popular. You see, all the "free market competition" bluster of RW media is just window dressing - no corporation or industry really likes it.
Private insurers would still exist for the well-heeled, but they wouldn't own the whole system. As previously mentioned, regardless of the regressive propaganda posted here and in the RW media, and despite the inevitable complaints from foreigners, none under these plans favor trading their system for ours.
Our modern reactionary and regressive right wing is truly amazing. We must recognize that some RW media voices are not real bright, in the pocket, or are just paid trolls.
