Since when are national politicians required to comment on the transgressions of regional politicians, especially in the realm of gender politics and women’s issues? What next? A question about some politician’s comments in Missouri or Indiana?

Once again our right wing posters prove they aren't very bright. There hasn't even been an official complaint nor has any woman come forward yet so all we have is a rumor being spread by his old primary opponent who just so happens would pretty much be the defacto nominee if the current mayor steps down. Call me old fashioned but if you want to destroy the life and career of a man I want it to be based upon facts not on rumors and claims which no one will publicly come forward to say is true.

Once again, the bashing of the party takes precedence over common sense. Pelosi has done a 180° from how she'd respond if it were a Republican. Rather than just admit it's more of the same poor decision making, and transparently bias; you choose to blame the people who see it for what it is... making you a hypocrite.

The council members themselves have stated this has turned into a circus. A Mayor that isn't allowed to be alone with any female during working hours. WTH is wrong with people who will stick up for any dirt bag simply because he or she is a Democrat?
While many have been shocked by the allegations, this is not the first time Filner, a Democrat, has been accused of wrongdoing. Former state lawmaker Lori Saldana says several years ago she reported the abuse claims of six different women to the top Democratic official in San Diego.
How did that get swept under the rug, I wonder?
The more crap like this churns up the more I think liberal bastions like New York City deserve Weiner as a Mayor, and Spitzer as comptroller. If they are stupid enough to vote in people who will inevitably steal, act badly, and be ineffective at their jobs; then they deserve the train wreck they vote for!
