To illustrate the other hypocritical side of a simlar instance a Catholic church was recently sued for malpractice for a women losing her baby. The church claimed the baby wasn't a life. Hypocrisy is on both sides of the abortion argument.
That hospital is in Colorado and it hid behind Colorado law (at the time) which did indeed say that you couldn't "murder" an unborn fetus. Because of that case, and some others where fetuses were killed in traffic accidents, etc, Colorado law was changed this session to make unlawful termination of pregnancy a felony.

The real argument for abortion is convinience. We let kids in poor countries starve, because helping them create an inconvinience for us. And abortion is legal, because getting a kid at the wrong time is inconvenient. Since these opinions are not politically correct, then we have made up total bull arguments to defend it.
Bang on. It's totally a matter of convenience. Why do women, who are carrying babies they actually want, mourn and have little funerals when they have miscarriages? After all, if it's not a life...

Ergo, abortion is legal murder.
