This is in direct response to the thread about hating Obama.

Those of you who so admire the man to the point of worship, why?

It has nothing to do with Obama really.

It's more like polarized party loyalty. The "party" is right no matter what they do.
People have put their political party above their country.

I think he is Janus-faced. He has a friendly mask, but he is no good behind that mask. Maybe that has to do with the people he has been surrounded by and exposed to for years now and who run Washington regardless of who is president.

I disagree.

Constantly on display are people making excuses for his actions and words, attempting to tell others what he "really" meant or said.

I think that such actions go beyond party.
