Interesting read on Yahoo about John McCain and how his "Maverick" persona is back. So what say the right wingers on the board (after you all presumably and hopefully have read the article)? Is McCain what you all need to get the Republican party back on track?

John McCain, Maverick of Congress

Congress needs a purge of anyone 65 years and older.
Retire them and let the next few generations take hold.

I know what you mean. I also appreciate that " the people" have the power to elect and reelect anyone they choose. And they do.

Uh, no.

He's wrong on so many issues.

McCain is a befuddled retired baby-torcher. And he wasn't even good at doing that, he went through five planes. Call him a maverick or not, he's still a douchebag.

McCain has never been a "maverick".

He is, and has always been, a privileged F_uk-up.

I wish these Congressional dinosaurs would retire and let younger ones take over but I guess they like the power too much to give it up. We've had far too many remain in DC well into their 80's, even their 90's.

I'm glad to see a little bit of the old McCain is back. I hope he gives tea party whacko birds fits.

Just because someone isn't obsessed round the clock with abortion and gays doesn't mean they're a moderate. McCain never saw a war he didn't want to drag Americans into. Doesn't matter if it's two tribes fighting with spears in Paraguay, McCain wants a piece of it.
