Tommy Sotomayor?? You've got to be freaking kidding me? Deadbeat dad, domestic violence convictions. Convictions for "I really didn't know she was that young officer". Pfffft!
Im not pretending like what I care, what I am doing here is revealing the ignorance of the black community, as I see it and as other blacks see it.
Well someone who does have a lot of very good dear and near to me black friends. They do agree with you. Some know there are many many problems, and refuse to talk about them with other blacks, because they won't admit there is a problem.
It pisses them off, because they feel no one in a high position ever refers to the many problems that do plague the black communities.
And yes while others may get pissed off at you, my friends would not, they see the problems and the refusal to talk about them, and past them off as things are going ok. Not with them. They have called it ignorance many times over, and with me, because i do listen to their griefs, they have no problem telling me their white good friend, how they truly feel.
When you really like someone and care about them, people listen to others when your mature. They are sucessful people in life, who worked to get to the point where they are, no handouts, just plain hard work a lot of school and college and getting good grades. But they see and know firsthand the problems of the black comminities, and pissed that no one in position ever addresses these issues.
You have to admit there is a problem openly to find a solution.

Freedom is a state of mind! Educate self, educate others, know self, knowledge, peace! "I break the chain they gave me and put these metals on my shoulders." - Big K.R.I.T.- Purpose.
Gotta agree with him about black police officers. They've by far been the most racist people I've ever encountered. The only serious issues I've had with police, came at the hands of black officers.
There is still an issue of racism in this country. With that said, black people can be racist too. Even against their own people.
i can't watch the video. but to me black pride is all about taking pride in who you are, being a good and just person, a contributing member to your community and providing a good life for you and yours. If you are a derelict, a burden on society, and a criminal, it does not matter if you take pride as a white or black or Latino supremacist.
Oh joy! Another "I Love Black People Who Have Something Negative to Say About Other Black People" thread. I'm sure he would have sat back and not done anything if it was his son who ended up dead on his way bac from 7-11.
Black people who blame Zimmerman should be asking themselves why Trayvon was followed. Why are black people followed in stores? Why was Jesse Jackson relieved when he saw that it was white boys who were behind him on that street?
