You are the one who swerved into this, so don't start trying to change the direction now.
You were the one who said the congress can work with Obama, I just pointed out that it works both ways. Obama can find issues the Republicans will work with him on also.
It was the liberals and the libertarians who, in a strange alliance, tried to kill the illegal program and restore some meaning to the fifth amendment. Sadly, Republican boot lickers blocked them but Republicans should have known they were completely wrong when both liberals and libertarians agreed on something.
It also shows how modern Republicanism really is nothing more than fascism.
Seriously one shouldn't have to address things like this that have been in the news so much recently. The media didn't turn on Obama over his wiretapping their phones also?
If he would have vetoed the extension these programs are gone.
Facepalm, that is because President Obama didnt wiretape the media's phones which is why you and your blog are wrong. Wiretapping means someone is listening to your phone calls. He did not do that. #FAIL
the original comment i responded to is not talking about programs, it is talking about the agencies themselves.

If that's the case thank God or like N. Korea we will have to put Obama's picture on our walls and thank him every day for our food and existence even if we work for it. We will have to smile and clap really, really hard when Obama talks. Or like Chavez, who also owned the media we would be forced to watch him on TV singing, dancing and talking for 6 hours.
There was a different amendment passed that nobody is talking about:
Quote:
The Pompeo amendment (championed by Rep. Mike Pompeo of Kansas) passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 409-12. However, “no one is talking about it,” Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) told TheBlaze on Thursday.
The amendment that passed is reportedly intended to “ensure none of the funds may be used by the NSA to target a U.S. person or acquire and store the content of a U.S. person’s communications, including phone calls and e-mails.”
Here is the exact phrasing of the Pompeo amendment (emphasis added):
None of funds made available by this Act may be used by the National Security Agency to–
(1) conduct an acquisition pursuant to section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 for the purpose of targeting a United States person; or
(2) acquire, monitor, or store the contents (as such term is defined in section 2510(8) of title 18, United States Code) of any electronic communication of a United States person from a provider of electronic communication services to the public pursuant to section 501 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978.
We arent talking about wiretapping people who are communicating with people abroad who have been approved by the FISA courts.
we are talking about wiretapping american conversations inside the US to other american citizens, you are wrong and 3 of your links are calling it wiretapping to simply askfor a list of phonecalls. That isnt wiretapping and you know it. Those sites are misusing the words.
