A worthy reminder that many politicians, even those one may not agree with, are fundamentally decent human beings.

I never voted for President Bush (though I do think he is a generally underrated President) but I've always found him rather likeable. And I've always admired his gracious ability to work closely with the man who defeated him in a Presidential election for worthy causes.

Nice.

I gave to his thousand points of light foundation many times over the years to support education and youth services.

I didnt much care for his wishy washy policies but his is a class act along with his sons.

He lost a child to leukemia (Robin) when she was 5, so this means something personal to him.
