Presidents Obama, Bush, & Clinton: Help for Haiti - YouTube

5:30 Brings back NIGHTMARES.

Oh old Bushy, the great orator. So interesting to hear the 3 different speaking styles. Well, more like two (intelligent to stupid back to intelligent).

By no means a Bush fan, but refuse to knock him when he's stepping forward for such a noble cause.

Bono of U2 said G.W.Bush saved millions in Africa from death due to AIDS . Ever hear of speech writers ? Obama has been groomed for years to be eyecandy a teleprompter reading prop . I see 3 men 2 are blatant liars the other has kept his mouth shut not being critical of the two when the other two have insulted him,his family now thats a class act.

Noticeably missing, however, is Jimmie Carter.

Did anyone actually see and listen to the video? All three made great speeches... there was nothing wrong with them... what it sounds like is pent-up hate that makes what you see different than what it is... FAIL

What is a nightmare is you ranting about one's speaking abilities when promoting a great cause that has nothing to do with politics. Good job in showing us who the truly unintelligent person is though!

The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is generally viewed, as the only foreign policy success story of the Bush era. $18.6 Billion was allocated for the period of 2003-8. There was bipartisan support to renew it in 2008 and a commitment to spend up to $39 Billion over the next 5 years. All of this spending was deficit spending.

Obama's budget for 2013 included an $18.6 billion reduction in such spending. This did not go over well in those African nations that receive aid. It also did not go over well with those who advocate for Big Pharma interests who benefited from the deficit spend.

There is no way to make everyone happy, happy, happy.

Over the years, when ex-presidents and the current president gather, I have several times seen the presidents all together, but for one off to the side - Jimmy Carter.

Jimmy Carter is a classic example of how people assume that a public image matches who they are privately. Carter did not treat those around him in the White House very well. There have been a couple books written by ex-secret service agents that have detailed the way Carter acted towards "the little people." From everything I have read, he frankly comes off as a rather petty person. He had a notorious spat with Bill Clinton. Regardless which ex-president it is, if you can't get along with Bill Clinton, who has become very good friends with the Bushes, the problem is probably with you.

BTW, from those books, here is how the presidents and their families shaped up, in terms of how they treat "the little people":

Good

Obama
All the Bushes - They just sound like thoroughly decent people. One agent describes Laura as "a saint."
Ronnie (but definitely not Nancy)

Bad

Carter
Nancy Reagan
Gore
Hillary - She apparently had a rule that none of the White House staff could look at her at one time.

Yes, style is what matters.... Threads like this give credence to the complaints about the electorate's focus on American Idol.
