The democrats voted 111-83 to honor freedom and the constitution.
The GOP voted 134-98 in favor of attacks on freedom, liberty and the constitution. The bill ultimately failed because of the GOP's support for using the constitution for toilet paper.
You realize that as a percentage of seats held democrats voted for this at a higher rate than republicans. Open your eyes and take off the blinders.
Republicans and democrats are two sides of the same coin and here you are demonizing the republicans for doing something at a lower rate than the democrats who you think are the saving you from the evil republicans. It is laughable.

People who still support the parties are crazy to me. I just believe that a powerful government is inherently corrupt. There should be warrants before people are allowed to be spied on, the way its been in the past with our government agencies. There's no reason to spy on 99% of Americans.
