Tell ya what, Delbert.

Go on over to Austin. Huddle up with Ricky Perry, Louie Gohmert, and Teddy Cruz. Tell them boys all 'bout yer plan.

Come on back and lemme know how it all went down.

This.

All this talk about seceding is simply silly. There are people who currently live in Texas that are not native to the state and would be highly disappointed and discontent with this nonsense. For those crying for separation, it's important to realize that our country is way too intertwined, with a sizable percentage of transients in just about every state.

our mountains, the vastness of our rolling plains, and desiring to improve the quality of
life, equality of opportunity and to secure the blessings of liberty for this and future

I
COMPACT WITH THE UNITED STATES
All provisions of the enabling act of Congress (approved February

as
amended and of Ordinance No. 1, appended to the Constitution of the state of Montana and
approved February

including the agreement and declaration that all lands owned or held
by any Indian or Indian tribes shall remain under the absolute jurisdiction and control of the
congress of the United States, continue in full force and effect until revoked by the consent of the
United States and the people of Montana

So, you see, the provision for secession is written into the state Constitution.
How about it, Texans, what does YOUR Constitution say about the Compact With The United States?

Why would they secede? Not that they can anyway. Not everyone in Texas wants to secede, so are seriously suggesting that half the population of Texas has their opinion ignored because a group of 20,000 idiots want to secede from the Union?

20,000 intelligent individuals. What you don't understand, but WILL understand is that the economic hell that you will experience in the near future will last your entire lifetime.

Texas can avoid that by seceding.

Whom should Texas be wary of? The US?

If Texas seceded, many non-Texans would leave, not to mention Texas now receives more fed money than they receive. A lot of companies would relocate also. I have no problem with that, as long as Texas pays off its share of the US national debt -- which was run up with the collusion of plenty of politicians from Texas.

Let's see, 8.4% of $17 trillion is $1.4 trillion, or approximately $55,000 per Texan.

Hey, freedom isn't free.
