This is the face of the Stand Your Ground Laws. Yes, it is from last year. The trial has yet to start. The kid was sitting in the back seat of the car. It began as an argument over loud music.
Florida teen dead after row that began with loud-music complaint, suspect jailed
A Florida man was denied bond Monday on a murder charge stemming from a weekend shooting that started with a complaint about loud music and ended with a teenager dead.
A statement by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office described a Friday-night confrontation in a gas station parking lot that escalated into at least eight shots being fired at a car carrying a group of teenagers.
Its interesting this one is not getting as much coverage as the Trayvon Martin story.
Even in the city of Jacksonville posters are hiding from the topic
I've been watching the trial. It doesn't look good for Dunn IMO.
Today on the stand he contradicted himself, his fiancee contradicted his testimony on several points, his own police interview contradicted his testimony.
I don't find the murderer's claims at all creditable given that no weapons, other than his, were found on the scene. More likely he just got mad that the black kid turned his stereo back up and then opened fire. Personally, I hope he gets the death penal because this was clearly nothing more then an execution. Sure, the black teen was a big mouth and was rude about the stereo but you can't murder people just for being rude.

I agree. His fiancee, IMHO, sealed his fate when she testified as a rebuttal witness. It was clear that he lied repeatedly.
Who doesn't call the police when he fears for his life from a car full of teenagers waving guns?? It defies logic.

And he stated that he was terrified that the "gangsters" were coming for him at the hotel, yet he took his dog out for a walk, ordered a pizza, had a drink, watched a movie, and never once called to police. If I'm terrified that someone is coming for me, I would call the police and arm myself. He never called the police and left his gun in the car.

IMHO, he didn't think anyone got his license plate number.
