Man, that's some backwards way of thinking. We're all human beings we all have similar goals in life. It's quite simple, a "system" that allows you more personal freedom wins.
Personal freedom is not the same as sucking as much money out of society as possible. But some people seem to think it is the same.
Ah, so basically no incentive to graduate. 15 year plan!!
Oh no, I would grant everyone 10 years of paid education time beyond high school They can take it when young, but also later on to switch to another job at 50
so i could be a professional student, and make a 16 year career out of taking every college course that caught my eye.
Why 16? As I said, 10 years. I would reduce high school to 10 years, by the way.

You aren't going to discriminate against those who aren't 18 are you? That would be illegal.
If you start to work right after high school, it would be possible, indeed.
Then again, I might get rid of paid retirement altogether. People would get retired if the doctor says they can no longer work. Maybe part-time from 60 till illness or death
Anyway, to get back to topic (which is not discussing the pros and cons of socialism), I think the hate is simply ideological as Americans have never had any experience with socialism. If the Russians hated socialism, that would be a different story and understandable. But with Americans it is simply the way they grow up, being told over and over what is good and right, and what is bad and wrong And ultimately they believe it, it is like with religion. Nobody is born a Muslim, but they grow up thinking it is the only right way, so what can you expect...
