Why is it OK when people of color say or do things considered racist? Why is it only whites that are condemned when anything perceived as racist occur? One reason, is because people of color desperately want to live in a white culture.....yet, when they arrive to that predominantly white country, and have successfully secured a visa, or citizenship, they often condemn that culture. Africans do commit and extremely large amount of crime in Europe. One famous example is the Amanda Knox case, Rudy Guede, an African and life long criminal was the murderer.
This sounds like it's straight out of the KKK's handbook, or something! Perhaps even the Red-Neck Manifesto!

Racism is racism, either way you cut it! It's not ok for blacks to hurl insults at other ethnic groups, no more than it's alright for other ethnic groups to hurl insults at blacks.

Blacks don't necessarily desire to live "in a white culture". They just want to live a prosperous crime-free life, with as many luxuries as they can afford. Just like most everyone else. Most realize that they can't have that dream come true in their war torn, pre-colonialized, and impoverished countries from which they've emigrated. They therefore, tend to flock towards the people's descendants, who were previously responsible for killing large numbers of their people, enslaving multitudes of their people, decimating their cultures, and extracting megatons of their natural resources.

Seems kinda fair to me, that they would return to the culprits who were the descendants of the worse kinds of criminals ever to walk the face of the earth. If for nothing else, but justice via equitable compensation. That statement is not just for the Italians, but other European nations, as well.

Be careful whenever speaking of crime and criminals! You just might be implicating your own ancestors...

Exactly. Europe seems to be far more racist.

Bananas thrown at Italy's first black minister Cecile Kyenge - CNN.com

That doesn't happen in the U.S.

When you are fixated on an issue like 'suggestive words' linked to racism, all you see is racism.

Like the patient being shown abstract images and responding that each remined him of sex, when asked why he found each image sexual, the patient repiled, ' why do you keep showing me sexy images?

Can there be only one answer to the myopic, endless search for hints of racism to create a victim and gain empathetic political favor and discredit opponents rather than their argument?

She is from the Congo and bananas are an export.

"Agriculture and forestry comprised 12 percent of GDP in 1995, and just 10 percent in 1999. Reliable statistics for a country such as the Congo are difficult to obtain, as most agricultural labor takes place outside of official channels, but most estimates put the percentage of the workforce engaged in agriculture between 60 and 75 percent. In 1998, agricultural exports totaled US$15.3 million, while agricultural imports totaled US$130 million. Cassava is the principal food crop. Other major crops include manioc, plantains, bananas, peanuts, sugarcane, cocoa, coffee, and palm kernels. Agricultural commodities that are exported include tropical and other woods, sugar, coffee, and cocoa. The Congo also produces beef and veal, chicken, lamb, game, and pork. Less than 2 percent of the country's land is cultivated."

A banana republic may conjur corrupt politics or dictatorial behavior, backward thinking, why racism?
Are there no other choices?

Bananas are used to create comedic pratfalls due to their slippery consistency. Could it be she is a 'slippery' politician?

Maybe a compliment as in 'top banana".
