Since a large number of American are clinically obese, wouldn't it make sense to tax the food that Americans eat to fund Obama Care? I ask this question because eventually bad eating is going to cause them to be a burden on our health system (costing tax payers billions anyway) from getting high medical cost chronic diseases that result from poor eating.
Let me guess those on food stamps are exempt from said tax?

Hugh savings there.
Not really, anyone who is a member of a hmo or medical insurance carrier, see their insurance rates rise each and every year to the rising cost of uninsured and patients who flat out don't pay for their insurance.

The funding source, unfortunately, is not enough.

No one in their right mind would want to fund obamacare and promote the communist loser. If comrade obama want free healthcare, let him write the check.. It's failing and it will never happen.

How too bad. So it makes sense to tax everyone, including the poor, on a staple of life to fund this poorly conceived boondoggle?

Not in my America!

Millions upon millions are never going to pay for their insurance.

I can't wait to watch the surprised looks on the Obama voters faces when they realize they will have a $500+ bill per month that they didn't have before.

Would you like some coffee to go with that bill? Pay the tax.

Most Obama voters are the poor and the upper middle class. The upper middle class can afford it just fine, the poor are going to be eligible for the Medicaid expansion. Plus people who make up to 4 times the federal poverty level are eligible for an annual subsidy. This is assuming you don't have employer based health insurance. So, I don't know where you are getting your facts from.

I suppose you newer trying to make a point but it escapes me. Most of us subsist on much more than snack foods; you know, things like meat, vegetables, eggs, milk, etc. If you only eat Fritos and doughnuts, sorry about that.
