My question is:
WHY are all the governments of the world trying to deal with the "climate change problem" by banning this and restricting that, but NOTHING is being done to minimize the problems (such as rising sea levels) that will be caused by the increasing temperatures? No dikes or seawalls are being built; there is no pulling back from the shorelines, no attempts at relocation; NOTHING!
I don't think climate change can be stopped. It is happening, whether we like it or not, and it will continue to happen. We CAN, however, begin to deal with the inevitable changes that WILL occur to our lifestyle and where we live. Seems to me it sin't real smart to wait until the last minute, then rush to deal with it.
As for CO2, it makes vegetation grow wonderfully well. With rising CO2 levels in the atmosphere, it just may be that we will begin experiencing bumper crops of foodstuffs! As an added bonus, the more vegetation that grows, the more O2 it will release into the atmosphere. Perhaps increased CO2 isn't ALL bad!

Your entire state ignores the reality of warmer oceans and rising sea levels so maybe start there?

I refer of course to public discourse surrounding hurricanes, insurance rates and Citizens insurance.

Just another catastrophe in the waiting announced to the world by governments seeking control over our every day lives.

As the planet evolves, free market entrepreneurs will work on solutions and humanity will adapt.

Shame on humanity (including myself) for letting this happen to out environment. We need stronger world standards to try and battle this problem.

So, you quote a study (not really, its just a news article that "mentions" the NAS study, but doesn't cite it) that is based on models which have consistently been shown incorrect (they keep revising the sea level rise estimates, remember around 15 years ago they claimed rises in levels which are nowhere near what they claimed) and have problems being consistent on their output even when they are ran on different computer systems (An Evaluation of the Software System Dependency of a Global Atmospheric Model), yet it is... "reality".

You aren't even dealing with reality, you are dealing with guesses, and guesses that are consistently wrong. Foolish? Yes... your alarmism is foolish.

Looks like your hopes for this thread are like a fish out of water... thrashing around as it gasps for its last breath.

You mean the same idiots who build their homes in Tornado alley in the midwest?
Or the same idiots who live in earthquake zones? Where exactly would you like people to live devoid of natural disasters?
