O'Reilly was entirely outofhis depth on this one, straight from the time that he started screeching about he was "the only one" talking about issues that, in reality, numerous people had been openly talking about and working on for decades. It was over when he refused Marc Morial's invitation to actually educate himself on the subject. And ever since, he's basically been whining about how people are hurting his feelings by pointing out his obvious race-baiting and willful ignorance.
This may come as a shock to people, and it certainly will to many, but black people can point out the systemic racism in the country, *and* tell kids not to commit violent acts. And in fact, this has been what we've been doing for decades.
