Property, sales tax as well as licence/tag fees are what pay for schools. How do you propose paying for the schools in your area ?

If you're saying "should" you should have typed "would" because that'll never happen.
You raise an excellent point. Generally speaking, residents of a community do not vote on taxes.
Referendums may or may not require a public vote. Mileage varies, community to community.

Alrighty then.

Close your schools
Close the libraries.
Close the parks.
Fire the Police
Fire the Fire Fighters
Fire the First Responders
Sell all roads to the highest bidders so they can impose tolls every .5 mile to maintain and replace them, when necessary.
Eliminate water.
Eliminate storm sewers.
Eliminate waste sewers.
Eliminate garbage pick-up in those places that include it in property taxes.
Eliminate all zoning laws.

Sounds like a plan to create a third world community.

Not quite, following the OP's logic, your examples should be:

People without kids should not vote on taxes for schools

People that don't go to public parks should not vote on taxes to pay for the parks

most of those are maintained, others arent because Republicans decide to cut taxes on just about all of them.

My county has large retirement communities and last year the state got rid of property taxes above the age of 65, guess what happened....?

I know how it would turn out, but that isn't the point. Just because you have a society of people who have been riding the backs of others doesn't make that a just system, but then.. these days, your money is my money right? Isn't that the mentality of people today?
