Got it.
Have you been awake for the past four and a half years? 0bama does not care about what additional costs we pay for our every day needs, and he does not care that his policies are driving up energy costs and increased unemployment. Everything this president does increases the prices we all pay, and he could give a rat's ass.

You're comparing wind and solar to tar sand ****? Really?

Canada, Alberta Tar Sands - The Most Destructive Project on Earth

The Boreal forests in Alberta, Canada, are a unique and fragile ecosystem which is home to diverse cultures of the First Nation peoples. Their traditions have adapted to this complex landscape over centuries.

Today the landscape is scarred by Tar Sands extraction which has become known as "the most destructive project on Earth". The scale is so enormous that the wound can be seen from space. The oil embedded in the sand lies under 140,000 km2 of forests, equivalent to the size of England. The Tar Sands process emits as much as four times more carbon dioxide than conventional drilling. There is rapid deforestation as trees are cut down and the top layer of peat is removed to reveal the oil sands. Four barrels of water, energy equal to three barrels of oil, and four tons of earth are required to extract one barrel of oil.

Of course, he has ignored his own debt commission and jobs council. He cretes these groups for political points, has them waste their time and then forgets they exist.

And you are acting like we don't already have thousands and thousands of miles of pipelines all over this country.

Just pointing out that there are risks with everything. All that mining we do in this country for the materials to build wind farms is destructive. All we can do is try and mitigate the damage and enact safety features to prevent accidents. So if you argument is don't do something because we might have an accident, then never sit in a moving car or fly in an airplane.

I'm talking about high energy costs that have done nothing but go way up, and stay that way under this economically destructive president, and none of your links address this at all. So, what are you talking about?

Not really. You guys are the ones needing the better arguments. After all, is that pipeline being built yet? Nope. Looks like your side is the one that isn't prevailing.

Keystone XL Pipe: Southern Half Of Pipeline Riddled With Leak-Prone Faults

Many critics of the Keystone XL pipeline say that corrosion risks are greater in pipelines carrying low-quality bitumen-laden crude from the oil sands. They have urged President Obama to reject the Keystone XL permit application.

“This latest pipeline incident is a troubling reminder that oil companies still have not proven that they can safely transport Canadian tar sands oil across the United States without creating risks to our citizens and our environment,” said Rep. Edward J. Markey (Mass.), the ranking Democrat on the House Natural Resources Committee.

Exxon Mobil pipeline leaks ?a few thousand? barrels of crude oil in Arkansas - Washington Post

#1. The 1st picture in your article isn't even of the Southern Expansion Project!

#2. The second pictures of of supposed light seeping through the pipe is the most stupid thing I've ever seen posted when trying to bad-mouth the line. First off.. anyone who knows anything about pipelines knows the welds run vertically not horizontally. Secondly, steel pipe - then coated. Were you one of the nut jobs chaining themselves to the equipment? Or running around chanting in their underwear? Or perhaps the one the other day that started up a piece of equipment and to show how "smart" they were - tried to hit the pipe but instead dug the hoe bucket into the ground rupturing a completely different loaded line. Brain surgeon's these folks are not!!!

#3. Do you actually know what an anomaly is? Or how it's dealt with on the pipeline?

Tar Sands Blockade is a radical environmental whack-job organization. If you want to discuss the pro's and con's of the pipeline... we'll do it. But find something better than propaganda that this organization puts out.
